Bluetooth Keyboard
A Bluetooth keyboard can give you wireless access to your PC, making it easy to move the keyboard around without catching the cable on anything or losing your connection. It can also connect to your personal digital assistant or mobile phone to give you a full QWERTY keyboard for easy typing.
Bluetooth keyboards come in two basic sizes-full-sized and compact. The compact keyboards are usually foldable as well, so they take up even less space when not in use.
Full-sized
A full-sized Bluetooth keyboard may make the perfect addition to your desktop PC. You'll no longer have to worry about the cable becoming unplugged or catching on other devices on your desktop.
Other wireless keyboards may require a line of sight for them to work properly. Not the Bluetooth keyboard. A Bluetooth keyboard will give you full range of movement without losing the connection. It operates via low power radio waves that can communicate from up to 10 meters (33 feet) away. They can also go through walls and the top of your desk. You can sit with the keyboard beneath the desk in your lap and type away if that's your style.
Or you may want to connect this keyboard to your laptop computer. When you're away, you can use the laptop's smaller keyboard. At home, you can treat yourself to full-sized keys and a numeric keypad and arrow and function keys just where you're used to them.
Since Bluetooth uses so little power, you don't have to worry as much about running out of juice. A full-sized Bluetooth keyboard can be run on 4 AA batteries. That makes the keyboard lightweight as well.
Compact
You probably don't want to travel with a full-sized keyboard. A compact Bluetooth keyboard can weigh less than 7 ounces and be about 10 inches long by 3 1/2 inches wide when unfolded, 5 inches long when folded. This makes it an ideal device to bring along with you when you want to use your mobile phone for email and text messaging.
In fact, some compact Bluetooth keyboards come with a convenient attachable stand that allows you to set the mobile phone upright like a monitor at the back of the keyboard.
These keyboards use even less power than their full-sized counterparts and can be run by just 2 AAA batteries. This gets you an operating time of up to 50 hours. With a few spare AAA batteries, that gets you enough time for even a long working vacation!
