Bluetooth Sunglasses
Computers, keyboards, mice, printers, mobile phones, headsets, GPS-all these make sense as candidates for Bluetooth enhancement. But sunglasses? Well, not exactly. The sunglasses themselves don't have any Bluetooth enhancement, but they support a Bluetooth headset that can connect wirelessly to your mobile phone. This can add a degree of comfort to your mobile conversations while adding several thousand points for style.
Bluetooth sunglasses are the brainchild of Motorola, Inc in conjunction with Oakley, Inc. Currently, the only model available is the Oakley RAZRWire. These sunglasses combine Oakley's patented optics with wireless Bluetooth technology to allow you to speak on your mobile phone without any wires getting in the way.
The RAZRWire sunglasses give you all the benefits that you expect from a high end manufacturer like Oakley. The patented XYZ optics give you razor-sharp clarity at all angles along with 100% UV filtering. The lightweight frame is durable and gives you plenty of impact protection. It is made of Oakley's O-luminum and is 40 percent lighter than pure titanium. They're designed for comfort so you can wear this device for extended periods of time.
The Bluetooth headset hangs off either side the frame. This adds to your comfort since the headset itself doesn't need to plug into your ear or clamp around the back. The earpiece hangs down from the frame itself. It can be easily adapted to hang from the right side or from the left, putting the sound in whichever ear you favor.
The headset to these RAZRWire sunglasses allows you to place, receive, and terminate calls simply, with the touch of a button.
These sunglasses are being marketed to cyclists, skateboarders, rock climbers, golfers, and anyone else who has an on the go lifestyle that features plenty of time spent in the sunshine outdoors. They also make a nice choice for the fashion conscious who prefer not to be seen with a standard headset obstructing their ear and making them feel like a telemarketer without a cubicle.
These sunglasses currently come in three colors-black, "root beer" (a brownish golden color), and "mercury" (a silver or pewter hue).
As you can imagine, these sunglasses aren't cheap. But they can currently be had for under $300. With a little hunting, you may find them for as little as $250.
