    Heavy, bulky and feature-rich. High-speed data service with streaming video. Hard to press keypad buttons or the short battery life on standby. Also features a dual lens camera, videoconferencing capabilities, speakerphone, email support.

    Motorola MPx220

    Easy to use ergonomic controls with reliable call quality. VGA camera. World phone. You may find the WAP browser less than convenient and you may have difficulty syncing it with a corporate Exchange server. Mobile 2003 OS. Priced at around $250.

    Motorola Razr V3

    Beautifully designed phone with an excellent 18-bit color display. Email support. Speakerphone. World phone. Doesn't record videos but does play them back. The volume could go higher. Only 3.9 by 2.1 by 0.6 inches. Priced under $300.

    Motorola V505/V551

    Speakerphone. World phone. VGA camera. Lacks an external photo-caller ID. The V551 model supports EDGE data speeds. Priced under $300.

    Nokia 6230

    VGA camera. Records and plays video. Plays MP3s and FM radio. Expandable memory. Speakerphone. The keypad could be improved. Priced around $260.

    Nokia 6820

    Excellent audio quality. QWERTY keyboard for text messaging. Integrated camera. Record and play video. EDGE support. Dim screen. Speakerphone.

    RIM BlackBerry 7290

    QWERTY keyboard. Easy to use interface. Good email support. Color display. Compact. Lacks a speakerphone and expandable memory. Dim screen. Around $200.
